• To engage in an open ended and creative design process. Imagining Change.

• Through the investigative process identify and present intentions, aspirations and proposal.

• To develop pupils perception of space and the collaborative design process.

It is not the intention that the week results in an alternative design for the square. The intention is to creatively negotiate an imaginative future for the space.

Themes used to investigate space were:

Document – (plan, map, photograph, drawing, recording etc) Measurement that leads to a physical description of the space. Exploring different approaches and opportunities of documenting space.

Experience –Capturing sensory impressions such as textures, sounds, feelings, shadows, movement. Inhabitation.

Viewpoint –Understanding both the pupils and others perception of the space as a place for all, seeing the space differently and challenging visual perceptions. Frames of reference.

Transforming - ideas and investigating the representation of the space and the possibilities of the space.
